Born in Munich to German and Japanese parents, Alice Sara Ott has already won several major competitions – and received remarkable critical acclaim. The leading German music-magazine Fono Forum named her as the most promising new artist of 2007.

Alice Sara Ott, a student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Salzburg Mozarteum, has appeared at numerous concert halls in Europe and Japan.

Alice Sara Ott’s début Deutsche Grammophon recording of Liszt’s twelve Études d’exécution transcendante has already been released in Japan.

Her triumphant recital at Munich’s Herkulessaal in January 2007, performing Beethoven’s “Waldstein” Sonata and Liszt’s Études d’exécution transcendante, was praised by the Süddeutsche Zeitung: “Ott lends a personal, almost overwhelming poetic charm to this splendid music, transporting her listeners into ecstatic delight.”
